John Collins was traded for Norman Powell. In 40 games with the Jazz last season Collins, 27, averaged 19 points and 8.2 rebounds. 39.9% 3PT, 52.7% FG. They brought in Collins to join Ivica Zubac and Brook Lopez in the frontcourt.
In this deal the Utah Jazz got a 2027 second round pick, Kyle Anderson and Kevin Love. In 23 games with the Heat last season Kevin Love, 36, averaged 5.3 points and 4.1 rebounds. Kyle Anderson is a solid wing to help the Jazz rebuild. The Jazz get their expertise and draft assets in this deal.
Norman Powell won an NBA title with the Toronto Raptors. The Milwaukee Bucks drafted him in 2015. He’s a UCLA guy. He established himself as a starter with the Clippers, finished 4th in Sixth Man of the Year voting for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. The Heat get his scoring and shooting.
